Digital smile design is the step that precedes any aesthetic treatment. It turns a vague expectation into a measurable project that can be seen, discussed and corrected before intervening.

1. Records

Standardised photographs of face and smile, video in movement and a 3D intraoral scan. The video matters: a real smile is not a still image, and the design has to work when the patient speaks and laughs.

2. Facial analysis

Over the photographs we trace the references that organise the case: facial midline, interpupillary line, curve of the lower lip and proportion between the front teeth.

3. Simulation

The new teeth are modelled over the scan and superimposed on the face. That is where length, width, texture and degree of whiteness are defined. It is the moment to change your mind, because no tooth has been touched yet.

4. In-mouth trial

The approved design is printed and tried over the teeth with no prior reduction. The patient leaves the clinic wearing the proposed smile, sees it on their own face and decides with real information.

5. Execution

Only with the design validated is the treatment defined: veneers, orthodontics first, whitening or a combination. The plan stops being a promise and becomes a copy of something the patient has already seen.

The advantage is not technological, it is predictability: it reduces unnecessary reduction and removes the surprise at the end.
